The Work

The Air Traffic Control Specialist will learn all equipment associated with the duties and responsibilities of a Sikorsky Air Traffic Controller.

• Develop skills required to operate all equipment to provide service to pilots.
• Become trained and current in both Tower and Radar. Ensure Runway/Helicopter separation is maintained.
• Enforce spacing and sequencing of all traffic transitioning in/out or through our assigned airspace.
• Controllers must be able to understand complex situations, such as the impact of changing weather patterns on a planes flight path.
• Controllers need to be able to prioritize tasks, as they may be required to guide several pilots at the same time and provide assistance during emergencies.

• If you are hired you will be performing a safety-sensitive position covered by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) these regulations require that you participate in a drug testing program for the following drugs: Marijuana - Opioids - Cocaine - Amphetamines - Phencyclidine or a metabolite of these drugs.”

Basic Qualifications:
* Control Tower Operator (CTO) Certificate from the military, FAA or Contract Tower program

* A minimum of 2 years of professional experience

* Must successfully pass FAA DOT pre-employment screening
Desired Skills:
* MS Office Product Knowledge

* Radar experience preferred

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
