Job Description:
This role will ensure corrective actions are tracked and verified, strengthen incident follow-up, and root cause analysis, and drive strategic safety initiatives, ultimately increasing overall success in safety and compliance efforts. Additionally, this position will enhance the teams ability to proactively manage risks, reduce injury rates, and support the organization’s long-term growth and sustainability objectives, ensuring alignment with evolving business demands and regulatory requirements.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter technical expertise while maintaining and improving safety compliance programs such as LOTO, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, etc.
  • Evaluate and update safety programs, policies, and practices to eliminate safety risks and occupational hazards, and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change.
  • Coordinate and/or administer EH&S-related training activities and documentation to ensure that all employees are aware of their EH&S responsibilities and can operate in a safe and legal manner.
  • aintain/Improve current accident and incident reporting system for all employees.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and recommend changes to work practices or equipment to minimize or eliminate future safety risks.
  • Manage projects and initiatives that span a multi-faceted manufacturing and office environment.
  • Own and develop site KPIs for environmental, health, and safety program measures.
  • Perform periodic EHS inspections and compliance audits.
  • Work with outside safety organizations to ensure compliance with all EH&S regulatory requirements. When required, serve as the primary liaison with these organizations.
  • Prepare EHS and compliance reports as required by management and outside organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position and the EH&S culture. 
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (specific) experience 
Desired Characteristics:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS.
  • Experience with OSHA VPP programs and process certifications a plus.
  • Deep technical expertise and industry experience in OSHA regulations and managing safety programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
  • Technical writing a plus.
  • Willing to work different shifts and occasional weekends.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
