Job Description
This is an overview of what a typical day will involve as a Traffic Analyst II at BAE Systems Kingsport location.
You will plan, schedule, and route inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments of freight, using knowledge of postal regulations, tariffs, and company policy. Schedules with carriers, reconciles freight bills, prepares and negotiates claims, and selects or recommends carriers to ensure efficient, timely, and least expensive movement of goods and material. Conducts research on transportation methods, rates, and routes. Additional skills listed below will be needed to perform the above job duties.

Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.
This position requires a highly detailed and motivated individual.
Be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word.
Candidate is required to maintain Ammo 62 Certification and secret clearance level.
Must collaborate well with our R&D, Sales and Marketing, Export, Planning/ Scheduling, and Material Handling teams to ensure shipments are delivered on time.
Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments according to internal and external policies and procedures.
Monitor freight charges, payments, invoices, quotes and orders to better assist in the approval process.
Investigate and act on cost saving initiatives related to transportation costs.
Participate in audits from various internal and external agencies as required.
Perform and manage monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the USG as required by PWS15.
Develop and maintain a great working relationship with external customers that involves transporting product to both domestic and international locations.
Perform inspections of material prior to loading. These inspections could take place at various locations on site and will require use of PPE, specialized training along with other additional measures to protect you from injury.
Although this is a salaried position, there could be circumstances when you will be expected exceed the normal 40-hour work week to meet deadlines.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $54069 - $91917

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
