We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Lead to oversee and perform avionics maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting on corporate aircraft. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with Garmin, Rockwell Collins, and Honeywell systems, and demonstrates strong leadership abilities to guide a team of avionics technicians in a fast-paced Part 145/Part 135 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate avionics maintenance, modifications, and upgrades on corporate aircraft.
- Perform troubleshooting, installation, calibration, and testing of Garmin, Rockwell Collins, and Honeywell avionics systems.
- Mentor and guide a team of avionics technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to company and FAA standards.
- Review maintenance documentation, work orders, and schematics to verify compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure proper use of tools, test equipment, and adherence to tool control procedures.
- Perform system operational checks and certify work for Return to Service (RTS) when authorized.
- Support troubleshooting of in-service issues and provide technical guidance for AOG events.
- Maintain compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations, OEM procedures, and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
- Assist with training programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives within the avionics department.
