Contract-to-Hire (6 months) | Monday–Friday (Day Shift)
Position Overview
A well-established and highly respected aviation services organization is seeking an experienced Avionics Troubleshooter to support advanced avionics installations, integrations, and system upgrades across a diverse fleet of aircraft.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled avionics professional who excels at diagnostics, system integration, and mentoring others in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, install, and integrate advanced avionics systems including:
- Garmin G1000
- Garmin GTN Series
- Garmin G600
- Starlink systems
- Perform and support RVSM and autopilot installations
- Conduct efficient system-level troubleshooting and upgrades
- Perform and troubleshoot 91.411 and 91.413 checks
- Interpret and create wiring diagrams (AutoCAD experience preferred)
- Utilize appropriate avionics testing equipment
- Support Garmin flight deck integrations
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team development
- Maintain compliance with General Aviation and Business Aviation standards
Aircraft Exposure
The organization services a wide range of aircraft, including:
- Cessna 172
- Cessna 414
- Citation series
- King Air series
- Piper aircraft
The company is internationally recognized for its expertise in RVSM installations.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with:
- RVSM installations
- Autopilot installation and troubleshooting
- Advanced avionics integration (Garmin flight decks)
- Strong troubleshooting background in both GA and Business Aviation environments
- Experience using avionics testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams (AutoCAD preferred)
- Proven leadership experience and ability to train/mentor others
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid passport (required due to potential travel)
