Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated APU Controls Systems Engineer to support the EMI & Environmental tests execution. This position, working with the APU Controls Project Engineers, will be responsible for the development of plans, procedures, execution, and creation of test reports for EMI and Environmental tests on both components and system level assemblies within cost and schedule constraints.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing EMI & Environmental test execution through effective project management and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in control systems and demonstrate effective collaboration skills.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Environmental and EMI/EMC Qualification of Control Systems Hardware

Conduct EMI testing to ensure product compliance with relevant standards.

Plan and execute EMI/ environmental tests

Project oversight and coordination with program PE to ensure overall program success

Drive execution of programs closely with Project and Lead System Engineers

Provide regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders on project status and outcomes.


Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field).

At least 4+ years of relevant engineering experience, particularly in supplier transitions or project management.

Knowledge of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and related systems preferred.

Proven experience in executing project subtasks to meet customer specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail in managing complex engineering challenges

US Citizen or lawful permanent resident of US.

Ability to speak, write and read English

We Value:

Experience in aerospace

Project management skills

Understanding and application of DO-160 and Mil-STD-810 requirements.

Knowledge of with estimation process for testing campaigns

Test bench construction and integration for highly complex systems

Additional Information:

This position may require occasional travel to supplier locations or supplier sites.
