Description:What We’re Doing
Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.

The Work
-Successful candidate will perform requirements elicitation using behavioral artifacts such as use cases that are used both to understand and to convey understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system.
-Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.
-Candidate needs to have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice. Work will be performed under the direction of the C2BMC-G Team Engineering Manager, Product Owner, and supporting various project engineers and requires interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.
-Responsibilities include adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts as-required.
-Candidate will be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning, stat using, and supporting agile team leadership.

Please Note:
-This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
-The role will involve approximately 10 travel to customer sites throughout the U.S.

Basic Qualifications:
•A final secret clearance is required to be considered.
•Candidate must possess an understanding of systems engineering process and principles.
•A proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
•Experience in requirements elicitation including the use behavior diagrams as an analysis tool to understand and decompose requirements.
•Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).
•Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
Desired Skills:
•Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems development life cycle.
•Demonstrated contributions to implementation that includes the ability to analyze high level needs and define a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that have led to a fielded product.
• Ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and have experience in writing and implementing engineering plans within a project.
•Space and Terrestrial sensor and Missile Defense System prior experience and familiarity is desirable.
•Excellent communications skills are required (written and oral) as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
•Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project.
•Experience working within an Agile development environment, experience with Systems Analysis, Metric Development and Architecture development.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
