Job Description:
A permanent job opportunity has arisen for a Power Plant Stress Engineer within Airbus Defense & Space to be based on Getafe.
MYCYM.
The successful candidate will join the PWP Mechanical Design area and will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team, covering the integration of PWP structures at several platforms.
The main activities of a Stress Engineer are related with supporting design on delivering technical solutions for building, testing and delivering aircrafts, including but not limited to:
Composite and metallic components sizing and justifications (use of Finite Element Models and Airbus D&S tools for the Reserve Factor calculations) associated to current programs
Communications and support to different departments to find solutions and propose improvements of the design
Structural modifications management and justifications
Support to manufacturing and assembly process
Risk assessments justifications for in service events
It is a dynamic area, leading digital product innovation and LEAN Design, team working with an AGILE mindset, adding value within Design Office activities in production and in service.
Required Competences & Skills:
Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Industrial (Mechanics)
A minimum of 1 years of professional experience as Stress Engineer on aircraft design activities
Knowledge and experience in CATIA/3DX and PDM/PLM Tools, as well as the usual back office tools (Office...)
Motivated, proactive and team dynamic player
Committed in their own development to learn new skills
Fluent in Writing and Spoken English (B2 level or higher)
Fluent in Writing and Spoken Spanish
Desired Competences & Skills
Knowledge of aircraft systems & structures
Knowledge of repairs and customer queries solving
