The Parts Coordinator support parts department operations with a focus on inventory control functions such as receiving, stocking, organization, picking, and shipping.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform receiving functions on material being delivered to stock room. Ensure part quantity, condition, and associated paperwork match requirements on purchase order as defined by the Repair Station Quality Assurance Manual.
- Maintain and file part certifications, packing sheets, invoices, and freight waybills according to record retention and traceability requirements.
- Perform forklift operations on large shipments.
- Complete required carrier paperwork and as necessary contact carrier or transportation provider for product pick up.
- Maintain inventory organization and warehouse cleanliness.
- Maintain and execute scheduled material deliveries to and pick-ups to and from detached service hangars and neighboring company facilities.
- Facilitate scheduled and unscheduled material transfers between parts rooms as needed.
- Ensure that all containers are tagged with the appropriate labels as required by HAZMAT.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma/GED required.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred but not required. Must possess and maintain a current and valid driver license
- Meet the requirements of Airport Authority to receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions
Physical Requirements:
Frequent periods of walking, standing, stooping. Occasional periods of sitting. Frequent use of hands and fingers. Frequent periods of talking and listening.
Work Environment:
Normal warehouse environment, with occasional exposure to engine noise and general shop conditions.
