Automation Maintenance Technician – 3rd ShiftLocation: Southington, CT 06489
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Shift & Pay3rd Shift: Monday – Friday 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM $28.50/hour
Position OverviewSupport automated and semi-automated production equipment in a high-tech, safety-driven manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing machinery to ensure efficient, high-quality production throughout the shift.
Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated and semi-automated equipment
Diagnose issues involving sensors, controllers, encoders, and servo systems
Perform machine setup, changeovers, and line clearances
Conduct preventive maintenance and complete startup documentation
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Support production by adjusting equipment and resolving performance issues
Maintain accurate production, efficiency, and downtime records
Assist with installation and modification of integrated systems
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Participate in continuous improvement and EHS initiatives
Required Skills & QualificationsExperience with motor controls, relays, contactors, and jog circuits
Knowledge of electronics, mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues from simple to complex
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer and computerized control system knowledge
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly
Minimum RequirementsMust be 18 years or older
High School Diploma or GED required (technical training preferred)
Up to 3 years of manufacturing experience
Experience with automated or semi-automated equipment preferred
Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWork in manufacturing and/or cleanroom environments
Exposure to machinery, noise, chemicals, and controlled environments
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and push/pull up to 80 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion
Required use of steel-toe boots and PPE
No jewelry, false nails/eyelashes, or torn clothing permitted
Additional DetailsMinimal travel required (less than 5)

Pay Details: $28.50 per hour
