Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework.

Job Description

  • Roles and Responsibilities

  • Receive, classify, and stock incoming spare parts. This includes setting up a storeroom in MAS CMMS system, establishing min/ max for spare parts associated with site assets, managing stocking conditions, and knowing "what is where".
  • Site Security backup role to include audits, inspections and assisting Site Security Leader with required tasks.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and contractors while coordinating with operations, engineering, and safety teams to ensure minimal disruption to business.
  • Assist with managing various maintenance projects, along with escorting contractors.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding

  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (specific) experience
  • 3 years of facility, maintenance, and manufacturing experience

  • Desired Characteristics

  • Possess a strong understanding of mechanical maintenance, various building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC practices. Previous maintenance tech roles are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Maximo and spare parts inventories to include cycle counting
  • As needed, available to work extended or flexible schedule on short notice
  • Able to work under general direction with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on-site and conduct regular walk-throughs in mechanical, outdoor, and industrial areas
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality history
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft word, excel, power point and CMMS systems.
  • As needed, available to work extended or flexible schedule on short notice
