We’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. We challenge what’s possible. From breaking the sound barrier to advanced tiltrotor systems. Today, Bell is shaping the future of aviation through specialized engineering. And we want you.
This position is onsite at Bell’s Commercial Business Center in Fort Worth, TX.
Bring your experience and ideas to support the sustainment of our commercial fielded fleet. You’ll design, develop, and release engineering data for complex mechanical system components, including blades, hubs, swashplates, shafts, bearings, gears, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, airframe structures, and other supporting components. You will also play a key role in subsystem integration, manufacturing support, assembly, and validation, ensuring these components meet air vehicle performance and safety requirements while adhering to best practices, customer expectations, and industry standards.
What you will be doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, manufacturing centers, procurement teams, suppliers, and customers to provide upgrades, product improvements, and sustainment solutions for the commercial fielded fleet.
- Develop detailed, assembly, and installation design definitions using 2D and 3D technical data through CAD software and analytical tools.
- Provide technical direction on fielded fleet issues to Product Support Engineers (PSE) and Customer Service Engineers (CSE) who interface directly with commercial customers.
- Support procurement and suppliers by approving frozen planning and dispositioning discrepant components.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to achieve objectives across all commercial Bell models, including current production and legacy platforms.
