Description:You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, as well as providing products and services for the global civil nuclear power industry and militarys green power initiatives.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing cutting-edge technologies on existing and new development platforms, helping to solve the worlds most difficult challenges in domains such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, healthcare, and homeland defense. You will be part of a matrix engineering and technology organization, working on multiple programs throughout your career.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Serving as the primary technical contact for PAC-3 hardware
•Leading failure investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
•Presenting technical issues to program leadership and stakeholders
•Coordinating activities between production sites and programs to clear delivery constraints
•Coordinating changes to the Technical Data Package and presenting to change review boards
•Supporting obsolescence planning and coordination
•Providing technical oversight of major subcontractors

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited university, in an Engineering related field
- The preferred candidate shall have a sound Engineering / Technical foundation and be able to grasp complex issues quickly
- Skilled at creating and releasing part and assembly models and detailed drawings using Creo or Similar
and Windchill
- Experience creating drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.100 standards
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5
- Capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic, inclusive, team environment
- Proficiency of Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Detail and process oriented
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Previous Material Review Board experience (MRBE)
- Ability to read and understand hardware production work instructions
- The candidate should possess foundational communication and leadership skills that can be developed for future technical leadership responsibilities
- Previous Lockheed Martin and/or Missile program experience is a plus
- Active DoD Secret Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
