Job Summary
We’re seeking a skilled Structures Mechanic to inspect, maintain, repair, fabricate, and modify aircraft structural components (e.g., fuselage, wings, control surfaces, landing gear, composites) in accordance with FAA and manufacturer specifications/blueprints.
Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled airframe maintenance, structural repairs/modifications, and sheet-metal fabrication (bends, rivets, shims)

Use blueprints, structural repair manuals, and technical drawings to assess damage and plan repairs

Utilize hand tools, pneumatic drills, riveting guns, precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers) to build/repair parts

Work with various materials including aluminum alloys, titanium, honeycomb, composites; handle glues, sealants, epoxies per spec

Ensure documentation accuracy: complete paperwork/logbooks per FAA requirements

Maintain safe, clean, organized work areas; follow safety procedures and use PPE

Collaborate with A&P mechanics, inspectors, engineers, and pilots to ensure aircraft readiness
Qualifications

FAA Airframe Certification/ A&P license a plus

2–3+ years of aviation structural or sheet-metal experience (military, MRO, repair station)

Proficiency with shop math, drilling, riveting, shaping, use of fixtures and jigs

Strong blueprint/interpreting skills and ability to read technical manuals

Physical strength/ability to lift 50+?lbs, work in tight spaces, climb, stand for long durations
