What will you be doing?
As Duty Manager, you will ensure that everything runs smoothly at the airport during your shift. You will be responsible for managing supervisors and employees responsible for the aircraft handling process. On the apron, you and your teams will be responsible for numerous tasks related to the aircraft. Towing of aircraft with tractors to the gate, unloading and loading baggage on the apron, and coordinating the entire aircraft turnaround.
You are visible, maintain an overview, and intervene when necessary. You motivate your team, monitor safety, and ensure that passengers and airlines are satisfied.
Specifically, this means that you:
• Manage and coordinate daily operations
• Lead a team of up to 30 employees
• Organize daily kick-offs and meetings
• Liaise with customers and quickly come up with solutions in the event of disruptions
• Ensure a safe working environment
• Contribute ideas for improvements in the workplace
• Monitor absenteeism, attendance, and staff deployment
During your shift, you are the point of contact. You keep a cool head, even when things get busy.
Who are you?
You are a natural leader who likes to take responsibility. You remain calm under pressure and know how to get people on board with change. You communicate clearly and are confident.
