Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial and Accounting Management

  • Responsible for management of day-to-day finance and accounting operations (including billing, finance, accounting and reporting) to ensure timely and accurate financial information with appropriate internal controls.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually in accordance with GAAP as well as provide other financial information to the Managing Director, other members of the Management Team, Head Office Subsidiaries Controlling and Board of Directors, as appropriate, to inform decision making and action initiative. Financial performance reports are to be comparative to budget and historical data. AH reporting requirement may include Monthly Financial Dashboard, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Site Development Plan (SDP), Risk Questionnaire (for insurance coverage), Customer Center Review (CCR) presentations, Board presentation, and other reports as requested.
  • Lead annual audit process, ensuring year-round compliance with GAAP and accounting standards.
  • Develop and monitor policies and procedures within general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduce operating costs, and increase revenues. Maintain general ledger structure, chart of accounts, policies and procedures to enable financial statement preparation and compliance with all required financial audits.

Budget Planning

  • Manage the annual budgeting process, based upon most recent data and information available including preparing projections from departmental operating plans and conducting financial review and analysis to present budget scenarios for Management and Board discussion prior to finalizing subsequent fiscal year budget.
  • Perform budget review on a monthly basis to monitor performance against forecast. Review budget variances and assess issues associated with overages.

Treasury Management

  • Maintain banking relationships and serve as primary liaison with financial institutions.
  • Supervise function of Treasury accountant to ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet financial needs.
  • Review cash flow projections based on existing balances (cash, receivables, accounts payable), commitments, budget items and most recent knowledge of operating plans.

Corporate Taxation

  • Lead timely and accurate preparation of all tax returns and other information as required by governing bodies (i.e., GFFS for SEC, Computerized book of accounts for BIR, Declaration of Gross Revenue for Business Permit Renewal).
  • Prepare income tax computation and file income tax reports on quarterly and annual basis.
  • Liaise directly with BIR examiners for all tax audits.

SAP Administration: Support SAP administrator for SAP Management

Team Coaching

  • Properly supervise and motivate team members to ensure that assigned tasks and responsibilities are carried out efficiently and on a timely manner.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members. Promote professional advancement and development of team members by engaging them in training and seminars suitable to their needs.

Company Retirement Fund Committee Member

  • Perform duties and responsibilities set forth in the Company Retirement Plan as member of the Retirement Committee which includes: ensure proper implementation of rules and procedures set forth in the Retirement Plan, recommend to the Trustee the appropriate payment of the amount due to the member in accordance with the provisions of the Retirement Plan amd interpret together with the Trustee the meaning, coverage, interpretation and application of the provisions of the Plan
  • .Engage services of an independent qualified actuary for the periodic calculation of retirement funding requirements and PAS 19 provision and disclosure requirements.
  • Liaise with the Trustee on investment fund management and timely issuance of Fund Statement.

  • Proven skills in managing staff and ability to build and support effective teams;  Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to form strong relationships with staff in a supportive and confidential role; 
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving skills; able to balance attention to detail with big-picture thinking; 
  • Highly motivated and highly organized and able to juggle competing priorities;
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Professional Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, CPA is a must;
  • Minimum of 5 years successful financial management experience in positions with increasing responsibility in aviation or related industry;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to extract meaning from numbers and present analysis clearly and concisely to people with widely varying degrees of financial knowledge; 
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications;
