The First Line Decorative Paint Operations Manager is in charge of staffing, assigning tasks, and checking finished products and services. The role will develop and implement quality improvement plans. You will influence upon the people, budget, and business-related processes for the work group.
Travel is required up to 10 of the time.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for directing and managing work group activities such as cleaning, surface preparation, application of primers, coating systems, appliqués, finishes, and decorative coatings on air vehicles
Work with other managers to deploy employees per program requirements
Responsible for work group performance against program commitments
Interfaces with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operation goals
Acquires resources for projects, processes and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
Manages, develops, coaches and motivates employees
Possesses and influences a safety and quality mindset
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support
1+ years of experience in a formal and/or informal leadership role
Willingness to work any shift based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
Experience with aircraft decorative paint
Shift:
This position is variable shift. Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation.

Summary pay range: $102,600 - $125,400
