Role Purpose
As a Menzies Aviation Ramp Duty Manager, you will be directly responsible for overseeing ramp supervisors on your shift. The Ramp Duty Manager will take accountability for safety, resource management, operation standards, policy implementation, and client relations.
What you will be doing
- Shift Leadership & Performance: Fully accountable for health & safety, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes during assigned shift.
- Resource & Compliance Management: Plan resource allocation across business units and ensure adherence to internal and external operational standards.
- Employee Development & Oversight: Mentor staff, conduct training per company and airline standards, and address performance and conduct issues.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular liaison with internal teams, external agencies, and customer representatives.
- Reporting & Project Support: Produce routine reports, support business development projects, and complete investigations for senior management.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
- 3–5 years in aviation with proven management experience in airport ground handling and business unit oversight.
- Strong understanding of passenger operations, GSE maintenance, health & safety management, and broader airport/commercial environments.
- Excellent time management, planning, and problem-solving abilities; able to stay calm under pressure and work independently.
- Advanced computer skills required for operational and reporting tasks.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess and maintain valid US drivers license
- Pass all pre-employment testing including a drug screen, FBI background, US Customs Seal application, and employment history.
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
