We are seeking a SMP Operations Manager to support site-level operational activities associated with the execution of the Site Separation Management Plan (SMP). This role focuses on ensuring operational readiness during transition activities, with particular emphasis on training coordination, buffer stock management, and supply chain and SIOP-related execution. The position works closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure continuity, compliance, and timely delivery of separation-related objectives.
What You Will Do:
- Execute site-level SMP transition activities for training, buffer stock, and process readiness.
- Coordinate and track training plans for impacted personnel and receiving teams.
- Manage buffer stock creation, tracking, and reporting in coordination with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality.
- Support SIOP data collection, analysis, and alignment with transition timelines.
- Prepare, classify, and transfer documentation to receiving teams.
- Maintain dashboards and provide status updates on training, inventory, and documentation readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation are transitioned.
- Identify and escalate risks or delays to maintain program continuity.
- Support transition-related meetings, audits, and site readiness assessments.
What You Will Learn:
- Execution of customer-driven, strategic transition projects requiring agile operational solutions.
- Practical implementation of contractual separation agreements in a regulated aerospace environment.
- Effective coordination across operations, supply chain, quality, and planning organizations during complex transitions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environments.
- Knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, and core supply chain principles.
- Experience supporting SIOP processes, transition planning, or cross-functional operational projects.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders and functions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience supporting site separation, divestiture, or transition initiatives.
- Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments, particularly aerospace.
- Experience with training coordination or operational readiness activities.
- Familiarity with export classification or technical documentation requirements.
