Summary: Develop strong relationship with customers, connecting with key businesses and stakeholders. Negotiates and administers a variety of high volume / complex sales contracts, using independent discretion and judgment. Prepare quotes and orders for customers. Responds to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner with a high degree of accuracy. Manage customer programs. Provides guidance, training and assists the Sales manager in coaching sales activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer contracts, develop new business with existing clients and negotiate with customers regarding price, delivery schedule and terms and conditions, ensuring that terms are acceptable to management. Negotiate changes or modifications to contract when requested by customer.
- Interpret and respond to customer and Field Representatives questions or requests for information. Design proposals and quotes and reports status. Resolves customer issues appropriately and escalates issues to management when necessary.
- Build, maintain and nurture the relationship with each account. Communicate activities, provide reports to department heads. Handle customer inquiries and complaints. Solves problems that arise in the performance of the contract.
- Research historical data, cost substantiation and spanet analysis to determine the most competitive price. Prepare documents for quotes, orders, changes, letters, spreadsheets, presentations and reports.
- Coordinates customer / field sales efforts with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Contract Review departments.
- Develop, generate and provide reports to management, indicating pending and overdue orders.
- Provide exception level of service and alternative solutions for external and internal customers.
- Trains Account Mangers on customer programs and EXTEX processes. Provides coaching on new customer initiatives.
- Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes, procedures and programs. Contributes to 5 S programs in work area.
- Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Accomplishes related results as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education -- BS degree in Business Management (preferred) / technical related field (preferred).
- Experience -- 5 years (+) in Manufacturing / Marketing / Sales environment. Aerospace industry environment is preferred.
