Summary:
Collaborate to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling
Drive adoption of automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality
Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions
Utilize knowledge of materials and automated processes to define operation procedures and build sequences for operational excellence
Evaluate equipment and tool performance, including IoT devices, and initiate corrective actions to resolve deficiencies
Ensure process reliability through continuous monitoring and improvement
Leverage factory data to develop statistical process control methods and integrate reporting and analytics for continuous improvement
Provide input to product design to optimize equipment utilization and manufacturing techniques
Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance with investigation within the last 5 years (or Continuous Evaluation enrollment) required
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or related field) required.
Experience working cross-functionally in manufacturing environments with disciplines such as industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance, or production planning
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, assembly, machining, and electrical work across multiple disciplines (composites, metallics, machining, bonded assemblies, installations)
Background in lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives
Experience with MRP systems, SAP, or other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Program Special Access (P29) required to start
Experience with "first time build" or first-time product development preferred
Proficiency in CATIA V5
Experience in a manufacturing environment involving Sub-Systems Installation (with one or more of the above-mentioned disciplines)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
