This position contributes to our vision by:
•tUses Lean or Six Sigma principles to optimize existing processes to ensure production of cost effective and quality products.
•tMay serve as primary interface with external customers;
•tAnalyzes changes in customer specs in order to flow them down to manufacturing;
•tInterfaces with product engineering, manufacturing leadership, and support teams to meet business unit goals;
•tSupports standardization initiatives across business units;
•tCoordinates with engineering team to implement company engineering strategies;
•tDefines material sorting and grouping to match the process sequence and aid manufacturing;
•tDocuments sorting to match the process sequence;
•tResolves problems related to the manufacturing process;
•tIdentifies customer contract quality requirements and ensures implementation on all programs through quality plans and inspection and inspection and test plans;
•tCapitalizes projects using the “I see I do “ process;
•tImproves process layout to optimize product flow;
•tConfigures work station design, layout and tooling to optimize operator performance;
•tUses video analysis to improve work methods and procedures;
•tSupports material review boards, corrective action boards and cost of quality as required;
•tDevelops fixtures, aids in order to implement Poke-Yoke concepts or mistake proofed processes;
•tSupports new program introductions by providing standard cost hours data or any other cost analysis required;
•tWorks with engineering and customers to propose engineering product design concepts and product design solutions that better support production requirements;
•tDesigns optimum systems, procedures and work related plans to improve productivity;
•tDefines optimum manufacturing process sequence according to product type;
•tConducts time studies and analyzes data to establish direct labor standards;
•tAdheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;
•tRegular, predictable attendance is required;
•tOther duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

•\tRequires Bachelor's degree in Engineering
•\tRequires 3-5 years experience in manufacturing and/or quality processes.
•\tBlueprint and schematics reading - Advanced
•\tProblem Solving, root cause analysis and corrective action - Advanced
•\tAbility to design layouts and fixtures to aid manufacturing (AutoCAD) - Basic
•\tKnowledge of Six Sigma methodologies - Basic
•\tKnowledge of Lean manufacturing principles - Basic
•\tAbility to define an action plan using PFEMA per AS9145 - Advanced
•\tKnowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies and tools - Advanced
•\tAbility to understand flow diagrams, PFEMA, and control plans – Advanced
