What You Will Be Doing

In this Challenging Role

• Will assist in all phases of the Manufacturing process, but not limited to, producibility issues, root cause/corrective action, and technical problem solution.

• Will develop new methods and implement existing methods for non-conformance feedback to points of origin. Will work to reduce scrap, rework, and repair costs across multiple work locations.

• Will interface with Manufacturing, Engineering and Industrial Engineering as needed to define critical assembly sequence and integrate changes into production schedule.

• Will assist supervisor/manager with day to day operation of assigned area.

• Provide assistance as needed to help the shop floor supervisor and manager.

• Provide technical assistance to the mechanics through on-the-job training and hands on guidance.

• Will determine corrective actions and improvements to save cost.

• Assist and stand in for supervision as needed. Help manage cost and schedule metrics as required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Prior experience in aircraft coatings, finishes, an/or advance composite applications
• Experience with reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and process specifications
• Aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, repair, or modification experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to build charts and graphs
• Experience with PDM, VAS, SFM, QADS

• CATIA
• Superior interpersonal skills; work well in a team environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Organizational skills, attention to detail and a focus on quality
• F-35 engineering and logistics systems experience (JDL – JSF Data Library, PDM – Product Data Manager, QADS – Quality Assurance Document System, ATLAS – Advance Technical Logistics Applications System, VAS – Visual Augmentation System, SFM – Shop Floor Manager)
• Familiarity with F-35 airframe, aircraft systems and subsystems
• Project management experience
• Working experience with some aspects of project management
• Exposure to Earned Value Management concepts
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team
• Liaison role with MRB, DCMA, Quality, and Production Control

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
