We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to join us at Honeywell, in Edinburgh, UK, where you will be responsible for mechanical and hand assembly of Microwave Components, using soldering techniques.

This is a permanent, full-time, day shift role: Mon-Thu: 08.00-17.00, Fri: 08.00-13.00.

You may be required to work occasional shift: Mon-Wed: 20.00 - 06.00, Thu: 20.00-04.30

Key responsibilities

• Hand assembly of Microwave Components, using soldering techniques
• Mechanical Assembly following a prescribed build process
• Following detailed assembly and test instructions
• Microwave testing using network analyzers
• Fault finding on microwave products and identifying manufacturing improvements
• Carrying out visual quality checks, packing and labelling of finished parts

Key skills and qualifications

• Understanding of microwave signals / electrical circuitry
• Proven experience working within an Assembly and/or Manufacturing environment
• Excellent attention to detail, dexterity and hand-to-eye co-ordination
• Working as part of a team
• Good time keeping and flexibility
• Showing initiative

• Confidence in using Windows-based PC programs
• Proven record in fine detail assembly
