Summary:
Learn entry-level technical skills, regulatory requirements, and tooling used in aircraft cabinetmaking.
Prepare and fabricate furniture and wood subassemblies using standard safety procedures, design/engineering drawings, and materials such as laminates, veneers, and cap strips.
Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off completed work.
Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use PPE and protect aircraft interiors.
Assist in developing and implementing related process and safety initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Able to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.
Computer literate.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Experience:
Woodworking, wood finishing, or auto body/painting in a technical environment; completion of a Technical Certificate in cabinetmaking or a youth apprenticeship program in the area of expertise
