We are looking for someone with great energy who enjoys switching between operational day-to-day tasks and strategic initiatives, and who wants to contribute with their professional knowledge and experience to strengthen our team and create a safer and healthier workplace at SAS.

The Team 

You will be a part of our Scandinavian health and work environment team, composed of passionate colleagues with various professional backgrounds.  In our team, we set the overall strategic framework for health and work environment at SAS, while also supporting leaders and work environment organizations (AMOs) in their daily responsibilities. As a team we collaborate closely across countries, support each other and share knowledge generously. If there’s something you don’t know, one of your colleagues will likely have the answer or a new perspective.

Your Impact in Action


As our Health & Work Environment Partner, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Danish Work Environment Act and all relevant Executive Orders. You will support leaders and work environment organizations (AMOs) within the departments you cover in maintaining and developing a safe and healthy workplace.

Examples of operational tasks:

  • Supporting leaders in ensuring compliance with health and work environment legislation - including facilitating AMO meetings and contributing to the systematic work environment efforts within the AMOs you are part of.

  • Registering and analyzing work-related injuries.

  • Training new colleagues in health and work environment matters.

  • Providing support during inspections from the Danish Working Environment Authority and the Danish Transport Authority

  • Offering advice and sparring to leaders, AMOs, and People & Culture partners.

Examples of strategic tasks:

  • Initiating and driving local projects.

  • Coordinating, and following up on, physical and psychological workplace assessments (APV) in collaboration with People & Culture.

  • Planning and developing the joint supplementary health and work environment training.

  • Collaborating with the team to develop policies, training materials, and other resources for all SAS departments.

  • Implementing and communicating new HWE policies and practical tools for leaders.

Our work spans many functions and relies on close cooperation with leaders, People & Culture partners, Work Environment Representatives, Legal, and external partners. Strong interpersonal skills, openness to different perspectives, and the ability to integrate input from stakeholders are key.
  • Is Accountable: Legislation is at the core of our work. You must have knowledge of Danish work environment regulations and be able to translate it into clear initiatives and guidance for stakeholders. We need a colleague who can explain requirements with clarity, build understanding, and find constructive solutions, supported by experience with physical and psychological work environment.

  • Recognizes: We are looking for someone who values and acknowledges colleagues and stakeholders, recognizes progress, and envourages continues efforts. Recognition matters, thats why we also recognize you. 
  • Executes: We are looking for a colleague who act and drive initiatives forward with full support from the team. Execution requires process and stakeholder management skills, as well as confidence in training and engaging leaders and employees.

On the more practical side, we are looking for a colleague who:

  • Has a few years of experience in the health and work environment field – preferably with knowledge of the aviation industry as well.

  • We imagine that you hold a relevant educational background — for example a university degree within health and safety, occupational psychology, HR, or organizational development. However, your competences and mindset are what matter most. Experience with work environment legislation and collaboration across functions will be key to your success in this role.

  • Is fluent in Danish (as you will be working with Danish legislation).

  • Is proficient in English, as it is our corporate language – both in writing and in spoken contexts such as emails, meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Desired start date: 1st of January 

  • Position: Fulltime (100) starting with a 3-month probation period 

  • This position is based in Denmark at our current office on Amager Strandvej 392, 2700 Kastrup, though we will soon move to newly renovated facilities closer to the airport. You will be expected to work onsite, with the possibility of up to two days working from home, and occasional travel to other Nordic countries for team meetings and Scandinavian HWE gatherings.

  • To be eligible for this position you need an EU-work permit. Please note that we ask you to inform us if you currently have a valid EU-work permit.
